Walking in Snow

January 25, 2008 / by steeve

It must be my Florida background that causes my fascination with walking in the snow.  After living south of the snowline all my life, I now find it difficult to ignore opportunities to pull on my boots and wander out with my camera in hand.

This is a sheep shed around the corner from me.  Perhaps I should have photographed some of the sheep as well; they were filthy and nowhere near as "white" as the snow.

Since this is my first attempt at imbedding photos since the new Blogster commenced, I'm not sure how this is going to work.  The second photo I've included, the cemetery that's next to my property, shows up at the top of this post as I create it so we'll see where it ends up when I go to post this, or if it shows up at all.

Also pictured is one of my neighbor's outbuildings which I secretly covet.  You can see the dry rock foundation which I suppose is indicative of its age.  He uses it as a shop.

When I walked around behind the old schoolhouse, now the city hall, that is under renovation, I discovered a water main had burst and was spaying water out which was icing up the corner of the building.  I thought that I'd fixed the focus better than it shows up here.

Finally, there's a photo of a broken pane of glass, looking out from inside the old building under renovation.  OK, let's see how this posts.

{I've now come back in under "edit post" to say... where's the other four photos??!!  Gawd, I miss the old Blogster.}

    So you're batting "200" (1 out of 5). Just above the Miranda line! Keep trying. I may have to get out the ol' camera and shoot some scenery. By the way, you asked for reviews of my books. There was no "reply" word (just delete), so I couldn't. I will let you know as I read them.

    I miss it, too, Steeve, warts, blemishes and all.  This version looks and feels  like it came out of a CrakerJacks box or something. Frown
